I'd been meaning to shoot with Colleen for ages but she's not based so close to me in Cambridge and I just hadn't got round to organising it. Anyway, finally got it all sorted with Colleen and picked her up from the station and right away knew it would be a great shoot. I didn't organise a stylist or a MUA as I wanted to keep it simple, avoid set pieces and go with the flow. This turned out to be a good decision as Colleen confessed to liking to work that way too.</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I guess we who love photography firstly want to create images which we love ourselves. Images that we never tire of. But we also want to create images that have an impact on others who will view it. Images that make people stop, think and wonder. It's not always easy and it can always be better or just different, but that's the beauty of what we do. Siggy was able to really perform when she donned her black wig and became her Alta Ego. Then Nikki came back to the studio having not visited for ages and jumped right into fun. Rather than the blank white/grey/black space I thought I’d go for a more complex and confused set and bring all the things normally behind the camera to being in front of the camera. 'Thatlooks a bit boring.', but i just loved the way soft light fell from the side and the shades of vivid colour. Thank goodness we keep loads of fashion tights. The price and one size fits all makes it easy and that with a wide range of jewellery we keep saves the day. In this case with Roseanne in the studio. Great fun and loads of energy expended. The results are even better. OK, so to start off with just some simple jumping but I love the look here of Lauren. Great work on her part. The emphasis here was on keeping things sharp and generally no blur so fash shutter speed and flash.<br /><img src="http://news.markfiddian.com/_photos/edImg12294w.jpg" /> <img src="http://news.markfiddian.com/_photos/edImg12267w.jpg" /><br />Next a bit of blurred movement with Francesca. Everything quite soft and no flash for the first image and then flash with a slow shutter for the second image.<br /><img src="http://news.markfiddian.com/_photos/edImg12990w.jpg" /> <img src="http://news.markfiddian.com/_photos/edImg12845w.jpg" /><br />And then finally some real flying with Lorna.
